The Carosello Valley, located on the slopes of Mount Alveria, is located in the heart of Noto Antica, the medieval city that was tragically destroyed by the earthquake of 1693. This fascinating place, also known as the "Medieval Pompei", is the starting point of one of our most suggestive trekking excursions. You will begin your journey right through the ruins of Noto Antica, a journey back in time to discover the hidden beauty of the Valley of Carosello.

The peculiarity of this valley is its unique transition between two environments: on the one hand, the history and the ruins of a lost civilization, on the other, the wild and uncontaminated nature that grows lush among the rocks. Along the way, you will explore the ancient tanneries of skins of Arab origin, created within prehistoric caves, witnesses of a history that has its roots in the past centuries. And as you walk, you will be immersed in an environment that changes continuously, from the most arid and rocky to a subtropical corner that develops along the river Asinaro.
